Caution: Buying a Water Purifier:
When considering purchasing a water purifier (not just a filter as a purifier removes 100% of the bacteria and a filter only removes some of the bacteria) it is imperative you ask for proof of what is removed. Independent test results (Australian laboratory testing) are the only way you can be sure of what you are buying, you and your family's health are too valuable to be put at risk
Water Purifiers have to be Australian Standards Approved, for reasons of health protection and safety aspects, if the filter housings are of poor quality flooding is a possibility. It is illegal for plumbers to install a system without Australian Standards Approval, the fine can be up to $3,000.

Multipure, the US based manufacturer of CC1, recommends filter change servicing at a maximum of 12-18 monthly intervals, 12mths for 1 person, 18mths for 1+ people.
